For a renowned Swiss company operating in the metallurgical sector, we are looking for a Head of Production for the Minting Division, with proven experience, strong strategic vision, and a solid engineering background, to lead a large manufacturing department with over 50 employees. The role will be responsible for all aspects related to production: planning, quality control, resource management, facilities, and equipment, while ensuring compliance with customer requirements and the technical specifications involved in the processing of precious metals. The ideal candidate is a senior professional—ambitious, well-structured, and focused on continuous improvement—not only managing daily operations but also designing and implementing advanced production strategies. They will also act as the key link between middle management and the executive leadership, ensuring consistency, efficiency, and a strong customer orientation.
- Strategic and operational management of the production department, including team leaders and middle management.
- Oversight of the entire production cycle: planning, manufacturing, quality, facilities, and maintenance.
- Optimization of resources, workflows, and processes with a strong focus on continuous improvement (Lean Manufacturing, KPIs, efficiency).
- Coordination with technical, quality, supply chain, and customer service departments to ensure on-time delivery in full compliance with customer requirements.
- Leadership of complex projects and implementation of new technologies and automation solutions.
- Strong operational presence, combined with strategic contribution at the corporate level.
- Management of clients with strict specifications (custom, on-demand, and regulated production).
- Promotion of a safety culture and full compliance with HSE standards.
- Degree in Engineering (preferably Mechanical, Materials, or Industrial).
- Solid experience in structured manufacturing environments, ideally within the metallurgical sector.
- Strategic mindset, with a strong focus on continuous improvement and results.
- Ability to think long-term while remaining hands-on in day-to-day operations.
- Fluent in Italian and English; knowledge of French or German is a plus.
- Familiarity with Lean Manufacturing principles, production planning, quality control, and technical asset management.
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and leadership skills.
- Proven experience in managing custom and made-to-order production with high quality standards.
