A.R.S. Progetti, Environment Resources and Development, is a Consulting Firm operating worldwide in the areas of Culture, Governance and Human Rights, Natural Resources, Physical Planning and Infrastructure Engineering. Founded in ’92, as a result of the evolution of earlier forms of association, ARS Progetti inherited a professional tradition dating back to the early 1970s, which viewed the cultural specificity of people as a resource for development. ARS Progetti has been a framework contractor for DEVCO/EU for 20 years.
Job Description:
The resource will primarily assist the Director of Culture and Cultural Heritage and Project Managers in the following activities:
- Business Development: Monitoring international calls for tenders, preparing expressions of interest and assisting in bid preparation for international donors (EU, WB, UNESCO, etc.), particularly in developing and emerging countries.
- Project management: monitoring of budget, resources and schedule; administrative management of contract with client and experts; organization of field missions, coordination and support to international experts.
- Provide specific expertise in projects where his/her professional experience is compatible.
- Willingness to travel for short to medium term missions (up to one month) to developing countries and the Gulf area.
The candidate must meet the following requirements:
- At least 10 years of professional experience in the fields of cultural heritage or public investment in support of the cultural industry or cultural tourism, some of it in international cooperation projects and/or tenders for international donors (EU, WB, UNESCO). Previous experience in a consulting firm would be appreciated.
- Excellent knowledge and use of major software, such as Windows Office, Photoshop, Power Point, some project management software such as Primavera.
- Written and spoken English is mandatory; spoken Italian is required for non-Italians.
- Excellent ability to write and edit reports or other written material.
- A driver's license is required; candidate must also be able to drive during overseas assignments.
